EVERGREEN. Is the world's most massive tree (not the tallest). Native to California, USA. Can live for 3000 years. Small cones, only 5cm or so long. Once established, has a spectacular red trunk that can reach upto 8m in diameter. Is the fast growing conifer. Avoid heavy clay soils.
